Last Thursday I went to the Garden with my brother, sister and Francis to see Linkin Park. Apparently, it was the band’s first time playing at Madison Square Garden. Personally, the Garden is my favorite venue to see live music. The concert was fantastic and they played for an hour and a half. The crowd was so hyper that you can feel the floor vibrating from the screaming and foot stomping. Also, the people in the pit (people who were standing in front of the stage) went rabid as Chester Bennington sang Crawling off the stage and in the pit. Then Mike Shinoda performed A Place for My Head as he “surfed” the audience near the stage. The highlight of the show was their encore with Jay-Z, who magically appeared from the bowels of the Garden. They performed their mash-up hit ‘Numb/Encore’ and ‘Jigga What/Faint’ from their 2004′s collaborative effort ‘Collision Course’. We capped the night off at the 2nd ave deli, mmm pirogies and smoked salmon.

Let’s just say the Foo Fighter’s concert was the highlight
of my Tuesday night, the band played their heart out in
Madison Square Garden and I enjoyed every minute of it!
(pictures will be posted later) I missed the first act and
did not pay attention to the second act: Serj Tankian,
former lead singer of System of A Down. We were sitting in
the 3rd level to the right of the stage. Luckily our seats
were above the entrance/exit tunnel so no one blocked our
view. Francis was keen to point out where we will be
sitting for the Thursday night concert. Hands down, this
was one of the best hard rock concerts I have been to in a
long time. Dave Grohl was very witty on stage and it was
money well spent rocking for two hours. How fitting it was
to end the concert with the song “Times Like These”.

This is my first blog entry for the world to see. I am very
flattered by the geek love that surrounds me. Anyway, we
celebrated the over-the-top holiday we call Valentine’s Day
by stuffing ourselves at Randazzo’s in Sheepshead Bay in
Brooklyn.

We kind of promised to cut down on the flowers this year
(allergies and all), so I had to come up with something
different, and something that I actually had some expertise
at.
